I’m a professional writer, editor, and consultant. I specialize in health (especially women’s health) and medicine, but my curiosity is wide-ranging. I’ve eagerly accepted assignments on a variety of other topics, including how (and why) people donate their homes to SWAT teams to use for training, the happiness that Pi Day brings mathematicians, and the best strategies for surviving your child’s first year of college. My clients have been as varied as my assignments. They’ve included major book publishers, national magazines, big-city newspapers, Web sites, small businesses, Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, and nonprofit associations and organizations. In addition, I teach writing and editing undergraduate and graduate courses at Metropolitan State University. I’m currently based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, although I make regular working trips to New York City, Washington, D.C., and London.
